Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
Pretty Perfect Beauty (ABN 19 657 334 734) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information when you use prettyperfectbeauty.com.au, enrol in our online training courses or book a mobile facial or skin treatment. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. Information we collect
- Account and enrolment details: your name, email address, phone number, billing address and student account login details.
- Purchase information: the courses, bundles or services you buy, order history and payment status. Card and account details are entered directly with our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
- Course information: your enrolments, lesson progress, quiz results, case study submissions and certificates.
- Booking information: details you provide when booking a mobile facial or treatment, such as your contact details, address for the appointment and the service booked.
- Treatment and health information: for treatment clients, your consultation and consent form answers. This may include health information such as skin conditions, allergies, medications and medical history, plus treatment records. With your separate consent, we may also take before-and-after photos.
- Messages: information you send us through our contact forms, email, phone or social media.
- Website usage information: your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, how you use our pages and how you arrived at our website, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Website design enquiries (PPB Web Solutions): your name, email address, phone number (optional), business name, the service you’re interested in, your existing website or social media links, and details you share about your business and goals. If you go ahead, we may also collect branding materials and website content needed to deliver your project. We never ask for website passwords in our enquiry form; if you become a client, any access we need is arranged separately and securely.
2. How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you, for example when you create an account, enrol in a course, place an order, book a treatment, complete a consultation or consent form, subscribe to our emails or contact us. We also collect some information automatically when you use our website, and we receive limited information from our payment providers, such as whether a payment succeeded.
3. Health information
We collect health information only with your consent and only where it is reasonably necessary to provide a treatment safely, for example to check whether a treatment is suitable for you. We use it only for that purpose, or as otherwise permitted or required by law. We will not use treatment photos for marketing without your separate written consent.
4. Why we use your information
- To process your purchases and bookings and give you access to your courses.
- To track your course progress, assess your work and issue certificates.
- To provide treatments safely.
- To respond to your enquiries and provide customer and technical support.
- To send you information about your purchase, course or booking.
- To send you marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email.
- To protect our website and forms from spam and misuse.
- To understand how our website is used, measure our advertising and improve our services.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
- To respond to website design enquiries, prepare your complimentary website preview, review your existing website (for redesign enquiries), prepare quotes and proposals, and deliver and support website projects.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed to run our business, with service providers such as:
- Payment providers: Stripe, Square, Afterpay and Zip, to process payments. Each handles your payment details under its own privacy policy.
- Website hosting and email: our website host and the email services we use to send course, order, booking and marketing emails.
- Analytics and advertising: Google (including Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager), Hotjar and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), which use cookies and similar technologies to help us understand how our website is used and measure our advertising.
- Spam protection: Google reCAPTCHA, which checks that forms are being used by a person and not an automated program. Form submissions are also checked by Akismet (Automattic) to filter spam, which may involve sending some form data to that service.
- Professional advisers and authorities: our accountant or legal advisers where needed, and government authorities where required by law.
- Website projects: where needed to deliver a website design project, providers such as our website platform, hosting and domain providers.
6. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers, including Stripe, Google, Hotjar, Meta and Automattic (Akismet), may store or process information outside Australia, for example in the United States or Europe.
7. Cookies
Our website uses cookies to keep you logged in, keep items in your cart, remember your preferences, protect our forms, and help us measure website use and advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the website, such as checkout and your student account, may not work properly without them.
8. Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and student accounts are password-protected. Completed consultation and consent forms are kept in paper form and saved digitally on our business computer. We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy or as required by law, and then destroy or de-identify it.
Website design enquiries (PPB Web Solutions) are emailed to our business inbox and a copy is stored in our website’s administration area (using the Flamingo plugin), which only authorised administrators can access. Our other enquiry forms (beauty services and academy) are emailed only and are not stored this way. The stored record also includes technical details such as your IP address, browser type and a spam-check score, used to protect our forms from misuse. If your website design enquiry doesn’t go ahead, we keep it for 12 months and then delete it, unless we need to keep it longer for legal or operational reasons. Enquiries that become client projects are kept with our customer records.
When you submit a website design enquiry, we send you an automatic acknowledgement email to the address you provide.
9. Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you by contacting us. You can also update many of your details in your student account. We will respond within a reasonable time. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why, as required by law.
10. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page.
